Resource Program

in our community

At HCDBM, families living in poverty, crisis, or need are not only given food to ensure they have nutritious meals, but are given the opportunity for Christian mentoring with case management support, student mentoring, summer camps and additional resources to help them end the cycle of poverty.

We are grateful for our valuable partners that bring resources, donations and volunteers that help make these programs possible!

Emergency Relief Program

Anyone who walks through our doors during a time of emergency will be served.

The Emergency Relief program care box exists to support individuals and families facing crisis situations.  This program ensures that those in distress have access to the food supplies they need, offering support and hope during challenging times.

Each month, clients can receive a specially prepared care box containing nutritious food items to help alleviate their immediate hunger and food insecurity. Additionally, our case management team works to understand the needs of each family and direct them to the proper resources in our community.   Every interaction embodies the spirit of our mission: reflecting the love, hope, and grace of Jesus Christ to everyone we serve.

We are committed to providing this lifeline to our neighbors in need, reaffirming our pledge to transform lives through practical and spiritual support.

Family Mentoring Resource Program

HCDBM is committed to helping transform the lives of families, children, individuals, the elderly, and the disabled living in poverty and need. Clients in the program receive physical resources, including food, clothing, personal hygiene items, diapers, household necessities, and access to our Wrap Around Programs. Items are delivered to their home by mentors twice a month along with individual case management. Mentors are assigned from local churches, with whom HCDBM has established mentoring partnerships (see Mentoring Church Partnership) .

This holistic approach ensures that people feel loved and supported while facing complex issues contributing to crises or persistent poverty. With the help of their mentor, Church Partner, and Case Manager, they receive more than a handout. Clients benefit from guidance, accountability, friendship, prayer, and opportunities to hear the Gospel, which help them overcome their challenges. HCDBM has a waiting list of families registered to be matched with a mentor.

A community united and equipped... to bring stability AND hope to those in need.

Thanks to your help and support, I can finally see a day when I will be whole."
