Where Hearts Awaken

WRAP AROUND

PROGRAMS

A program to wrap around families and provide celebration necessities that illustrate God’s love.

Feel Your Heart Stirring?

When poverty hits, often money for special celebrations is not available. Because of your generosity, we can preserve special celebrations and family moments by providing resources during Easter, Back to School, Winter Coats, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Birthday in a Bag, and our Kingdom Kids Book and Bible Club distributed through the Family Mentoring Resource and Stand by Me at-risk student mentoring program.

We welcome volunteers, churches and businesses to help us make these special programs bless children and families throughout the year!

Opportunities to Help

Let's sow the seeds of compassion and create a brighter, more connected community for all in the name of Christ!

We believe in the power of community to bring about positive change and invite you to rally your friends, family, church, or life groups to collect items needed for families in need. Together, we can shine the light of God’s love onto others.

If you are interested in hosting a drive or want to talk to someone about opportunities, please contact Debi Watson or call 830.755.5200 ext. 105

  • Most children coming into our programs have not yet had an opportunity to attend church or learn about God.

This important program provides children 2-18 years registered in our various programs an age-appropriate bible, Christian books, and study . Children are then provided new books and bibles at age milestones.

HCDBM receives drive donations for Bibles and Christian books year-round.

Inquire as to how you or your group can help provide bibles to children.

  • After years of working with families, we found birthday celebrations were often the first to go when financial stress hit the family.

Children in our various programs receive the blessing of a birthday celebration in a bag complete with cake mix, candles, icing, and much more to remind them they are fearfully and wonderfully made by God.

HCDBM receives drive donations for Birthday in a Bag year-round.

Inquire about joining this dedicated team who bring joy to thousands of children.

  • Special projects occur regularly, and we are always looking for groups and individuals who can participate or lead groups and organize and pack resources.

Note your interest and availability on the volunteer application and a staff member will contact you.

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.
